Meet Monika
MFA Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Masters of Arts in Art Therapy with Emphasis in Counseling, Graduated with Honors BFA Boston University, Magna Cum Laude
Monika's art has always been heavily influenced by her love of the water and marine life. She studied painting and printmaking at Boston University, graduating with a BFA in 2009 and received her MFA in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Counseling from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2016. Monika currently works as a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida and is the owner and artist of The Reel Chase. Monika is also an active member of the Fort Myers Mural Society.
Monika captures the allure of the water through oil & acrylic paint painting small to large scales works on canvas, wood, to large scale murals. She is passionate about solutions that benefit the environment and our community.
The Reel Chase came to fruition as a distinctive trademarked sun protective apparel line in 2015, founded by love the outdoors and fishing. Each design starts out as an original painting or drawing created by Monika.
